Rufus played dance music most of his life (1899-1990). In the mid '70s, he was discovered by folklorists and invited to play to audiences around the world. The name comes from Rufus' practice of adding more notes to the tunes - he said he'd do it "cause it makes 'em go better for dancing, see." These tunes were recorded in the last year of his life, and his spirited interpretation of the tunes will have you dancing too! With Jim Payne, guitar, accordian, vocals.
